Position Summary

The Service Journeyman Plumber diagnoses, repairs, and installs plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a fully independent role — the journeyman is expected to run their own calls from start to finish, manage customer relationships professionally, and represent Brinkerhoff Plumbing in the field with integrity.

*Note: While this position is primarily assigned to service and repair operations, employees may occasionally be required to assist on construction job sites based on business needs.*

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial service calls for plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations.
• Diagnose plumbing issues accurately and efficiently; present repair options to the customer clearly.
• Perform repairs including but not limited to: water heater service and replacement, drain cleaning, leak repair, fixture replacement, shut-off valve replacement, re-pipe sections, water softener service, and sewer line diagnosis.
• Operate camera inspection equipment and hydro-jetting equipment as needed.
• Provide customers with accurate, itemized estimates before beginning work.
• Complete all service tickets, invoices, and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
• Manage truck inventory; request material restocks as needed.
• Operate company service vehicle per company vehicle policy.
