Plumbing Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems, be able to read schematics, and have experience in both residential and commercial plumbing environments. This role requires a hands-on approach to solving plumbing issues, ensuring that all installations and repairs meet industry standards.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly of various plumbing components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand plumbing layouts and systems.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters and HVAC technicians as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during all work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in pipe threading, welding, assembling, and installing plumbing fixtures.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
• Valid commercial driving license may be required for certain positions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• A maintenance person background or experience in related trades is advantageous.

Pay: $22.42 - $24.00 per hour
