Plumbing Technician – New Construction & remodeling

is looking for a skilled, dependable Plumbing Technician specializing in new construction and remodel plumbing to join our team. We handle residential and commercial projects and need someone who understands the blueprints, knows the code, and can execute clean, precise underground and top-out work efficiently.

Please note

This is not a beginner apprenticeship. While we are a great small business that respects our team and avoids corporate micromanagement, you must have solid foundational field experience. We need a plumber who can arrive on a job site, understand the scope, and get to work on rough-ins with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Rough-ins & Top-outs: Measure, cut, and install DWV (drain, waste, vent) and water supply piping systems in residential and commercial new construction.
• Underground Plumbing: Assist with trenching, laying pipe, and setting up underground plumbing systems according to layout plans.
• Blueprints & Layout: Read floor plans/blueprints to accurately lay out plumbing systems around structural framing.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all pipe sizing, sloping, and venting meet local plumbing codes.
• Testing: Apply pressure tests (water or air) to ensure system integrity before walls are closed up.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Field Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on experience specifically handling plumbing rough-ins and new construction.
• Technical Skill: Proficient in working with PEX, PVC, ABS, and copper soldering. Confident using standard plumbing tools and equipment.
• Code Knowledge: Solid understanding of standard residential and commercial plumbing codes.
• Physical Stamina: Able to handle the physical demands of rough-in work, including digging, heavy lifting (50+ lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions on active construction sites.
