Project Superintendent - Plumbing

POSITION SUMMARY

The Plumbing Superintendent is a critical field leadership role responsible for overseeing plumbing construction activities in the field and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. This role works closely with the Project Manager and field leadership to coordinate crews, trade partners, and project execution. RESPONSIBILITIES* Assist in development of detailed CPM schedules with emphasis on plumbing procurement, rough-in, above ceiling work, fixture installation, testing, and turnover milestones * Assist in development of detailed scope of work for commercial plumbing systems * Develop and maintain project site logistics plans related to plumbing material deliveries, equipment staging, and installation sequencing * Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents, plumbing drawings, specifications, coordination drawings, and project requirements * Manage the mechanical labor force and/or coordinate trade foremen to achieve optimum performance on plumbing scopes * Review and understand material and equipment budgets for plumbing materials and equipment * Monitor project costs, labor productivity, and installation performance; identify areas for improvement * Provide leadership in the quality process for plumbing systems, including underground, rough-in, top-out, fixture installation, testing, and turnover readiness * Provide leadership in safety and accident prevention programs for all plumbing field activities * Document daily construction activities related to plumbing progress, manpower, deliveries, issues, and inspections * Chair or support weekly subcontractor and trade coordination meetings with focus on plumbing interfaces and sequencing * Issue and maintain long and short-term schedules for plumbing work activities * Assist Project Engineers in the shop drawing and submittal process for plumbing materials, equipment, and related systems * Verify that as-built drawings a...
