The County of Volusia is hiring a Journeyman Level Plumber to work at Tiger Bay Road, Daytona Beach, Florida. The role involves plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs across various county buildings, including court facilities. The plumber will perform routine preventative maintenance, read blueprints, manage records, assist with inventory, and coordinate special projects. The position requires minimal supervision and experience in commercial plumbing is preferred but not required

• Performs basic plumbing repairs, fixture replacement, renovations and new work.
• Must be able to work well with others as well as alone with little to no supervision.
• May be assigned to other county locations based upon operational needs.
• Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
• Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances.
• Responds to emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED or possession of GED and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience at the level of a plumbing journeyman.

A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire.

Must obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.

The preferred candidate

will have a minimum of five (5) years journeyman level plumbing experience, preferably in service plumbing.
