Commercial New Construction PlumberPosition Summary

Crabtree Plumbing is seeking an experienced Commercial New Construction Plumber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing complete plumbing systems in commercial buildings while maintaining high-quality workmanship, safety standards, and productivity. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, work independently or as part of a team, and complete projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install underground sanitary, storm, and water piping systems.
• Install above-ground waste, vent, water, and gas piping.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings.
• Measure, cut, thread, glue, and assemble various types of plumbing pipe and fittings.
• Install plumbing fixtures, water heaters, specialty equipment, and trim.
• Coordinate work with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and other trades.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and project specifications.
• Perform pressure testing and inspections of plumbing systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Identify and communicate material needs and potential project issues.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Train and mentor apprentices when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial new construction plumbing experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and installation methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience with PVC, CPVC, copper, cast iron, PEX, and gas piping.
• Ability to operate common plumbing tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing, if required.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
