1099 Independent Contractor – Service Plumber

About the Opportunity

We are expanding our service division and seeking experienced Independent Service Plumbers to handle residential and light commercial service calls. This is a 1099 subcontractor position ideal for licensed or highly experienced plumbers who prefer flexibility and strong earning potential.

Scope of Work

• Respond to service calls (drain cleaning, sewer backups, leak repairs, water heaters, fixture installs)
• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide repair solutions
• Perform camera inspections and minor sewer repairs (preferred)
• Handle emergency calls as available
• Collect payment (if required) and submit service reports

Compensation

• Percentage of each completed job (high split) OR flat rate per job (negotiable) 50-50% price split model is available
• or hourly pay at $27-$30 per hour
• Emergency call premium rates
• Weekly direct deposit
• No cap on earnings

Requirements

• 3+ years of plumbing service experience
• Must have septic system maintenance and repair experience
• Must provide your own truck, tools, and equipment
• Valid CA driver’s license
• General Liability Insurance
• Workers Comp (if required)
• Strong customer communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to do residential/home inspections

Preferred Experience

• Hydro-jetting
• Sewer camera inspections
• Trenchless sewer repair
• Insurance-related sewer backup claims
