Position Summary

Mechanical Piping Solutions is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Plumber to join our growing commercial plumbing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in commercial plumbing while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced plumbers and field supervisors.

The Apprentice Plumber will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems while learning industry best practices, safety procedures, blueprint reading, and jobsite operations. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Installation & Field Support

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems
• Assist with underground, rough-in, top-out, fixture installation, and final trim work
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
• Cut, measure, assemble, and install piping systems under supervision
• Assist with installing plumbing fixtures and equipment
• Support pressure testing and system inspections
• Learn proper installation techniques in accordance with plumbing codes and project specifications

Construction & Jobsite Operations

• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with pipe threading, cutting, grooving, and basic welding preparation
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings with guidance
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Assist with daily jobsite setup and cleanup
