Summary

High Priority Plumbing and Services, Inc., provides primarily residential and some commercial plumbing services for our customers. Our plumbers install, repair and maintain a variety of plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. Employees in this position must be able to communicate effectively with customers and with our dispatch and billing teams to provide cost estimates and outstanding customer service.

Occasionally supervise, direct and teach the Plumber Apprentice/Helper on job sites

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide cost estimates.
• Inspect structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, water softeners, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
• Locate and mark position of pipe and pipe connections and passage hoes for pipes in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.
• Cut and thread pipes.
• Bend pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals, such as vitrified clay and plastic.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
• Join pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and read pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
