DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides structured classroom and hands-on instruction in the plumbing trade to support inmate vocational goals and effective facility operations. As a Corrections Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties: *

• Deliver Training: Provide classroom and on the job instruction in standard plumbing practices, methods, and techniques
• Oversee Work Crews: Guide, assist, and monitor inmate work crews as they complete assignments
• Document Progress: Maintain accurate records of inmate training progress, attendance, and assignment details
• Manage Tool Use: Issue, track, conduct searches, and account for all tools and materials use during training and work activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
