DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides instruction in all areas of plumbing to support inmate vocational training. Our team will rely on you to help maintain a safe and efficient environment. As a Corrections Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties:* Deliver Training: Provide on-the-job training and shop instruction for the vocational training of inmates and instruction in the areas of general plumbing maintenance, preventative plumbing maintenance, and installation of new plumbing fixtures and equipment * Oversee Work Crews: Plan and assign work to inmates receiving plumbing training; review and inspect work in progress and upon completion * Manage Records: Maintain progress reports, attendance records, and assignment documentation * Control Tools: Issue, conduct searches for, and track tools and materials * Request Supplies: Determine needs for assigned plumbing projects and submit purchase requests for tools and materials
