Overview FOREMAN/ SKILLED PLUMBER

The Village of Bethlehem is looking for a Foreman to supervise and coordinate the daily activities for street department, water department, and sewer department for the maintenance crew.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Supervise and direct maintenance crew

-Plan schedule, and assign work related to streets, water, and sewer departments

- Inspect work sites to ensure work was done properly and safely

-Train new employees

-Monitor employee attendance and productivity, and work performance

-Respond to emergency situations such as storms, water breaks, snow removal and other emergencies.

-Maintain records of work completed, equipment maintenance, labor hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Five years’ experience in a Foreman or Supervisor position

-Skilled plumbing knowledge

-Valid driver’s license

WORKING CONDITIONS

-Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

-May require after-hours, weekend, holiday, or emergency response work.
