Mitten State Plumbing Co. is a growing, Michigan-based plumbing contractor built on integrity, craftsmanship, and doing the job right. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman or Journeywoman Plumber to join our construction team and play a key role on commercial and residential projects throughout the Metro Detroit area.

In this role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on new construction, remodels, and renovation projects while working alongside a tight-knit team of professionals who take pride in their work. We’re looking for plumbers who care about quality, safety, and building systems that last.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including piping, fixtures, and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure systems meet code and project specifications
• Coordinate with other trades such as HVAC and carpentry to keep projects moving efficiently
• Handle physical job demands including lifting materials and equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction plumbing (commercial and/or residential)
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, blueprint reading, and mechanical principles
• Experience with pipe threading, welding, and related equipment preferred
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments
• Strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset
• Maintenance or remodeling experience is a plus
• CDL preferred but not required
