The Maintenance Technician III ? Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of plumbing systems and related equipment throughout the university campus. This position ensures that all plumbing infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The successful candidate will support the university's mission by providing exceptional service to students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and residential plumbing systems.
• Repair and replace water lines, drain lines, valves, fixtures, pumps, water heaters, and related plumbing equipment.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls, including water leaks, clogged drains, and system failures.
• Inspect plumbing systems for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with campus renovation and construction projects as assigned.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors when necessary.
• Support other maintenance trades during peak workloads or emergency situations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all university safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours emergency response as required.
