Summary

Under general supervision of the Facilities Operations Manager, performs and supervises routine inspections, repairs and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. To provide an environment that is comfortable, safe, healthy and conducive to teaching, learning and working. Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) supervisor acts in the role of Facilities Operations Manager in his absence

Essential Role Responsibilities

MEP supervisor exercises overall responsibility for inspecting, planning, programming, and implementing of the preventative maintenance MEP program of the campus and other assigned facilities.

Schedules and assigns work orders to staff members using the work order calendar.

Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance of equipment assigned.

Maintain all mechanical equipment and control systems appropriately.

Reads, understands and interprets blueprints, drawings, floor plans, schedules and manufacturers operating and/or maintenance specifications as they relate to electrical , mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and special equipment.
