Part-Time Licensed Plumber

Join Freedom Bath tub & shower remodeling company as an independent licensed plumber primarily assigned to permitted condo jobs throughout Chicagoland which require licensed plumbers. As a vital part of our contracting network, you'll leverage your skills to deliver reliable plumbing solutions while maintaining compliance with local building codes and safety standards. This position is paid job to job and provides the flexibility to manage your own schedule while working on projects that challenge your technical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and fixtures in both new construction and renovation projects
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and plumbing inspection cameras to diagnose issues and complete installations efficiently
• Conduct plumbing system inspections to identify leaks, blockages, or code violations; perform repairs or replacements as needed
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Adhere to local building codes and safety regulations during all phases of work; document inspections and repairs thoroughly
• Utilize welding skills when necessary for pipe joining or structural modifications; perform heavy lifting safely during material handling

Requirements

• Licensed plumber in the state of Illinois
• Strong knowledge of construction plumbing, water systems, schematics, and blueprint reading
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and plumbing inspection cameras effectively
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to plumbing installation and repair
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and schematics for accurate project execution
