Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Plumber position is responsible for the more complex and critical Medical Air, Steam, and Plumbing systems of the facility. This position involves the performance of a variety of building and maintenance repair tasks of a skilled and semi-skilled nature in the areas of environmental control, automated and mechanical equipment maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This position can be called back to work for equipment malfunctions at all hours, and overtime work. Shift hours may change in certain projects to avoid or minimize patient care interruption.

*Roles and Responsibilities:*

* Safety + Demonstrates an understanding of emergency procedures, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and internal/external disaster procedures, as outlined in the fire safety policy, knows personal role in the event of a fire while on duty. + Understands fire alarm system and equipment.
