Job Title: Maintenance Plumber

Position Summary

Heartland Property Management is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to providing quality workmanship and excellent customer service to our residents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogged drains, water heaters, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and sewer lines.
• Install and replace plumbing fixtures, water heaters, piping, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls after hours on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify potential problems before they become costly repairs.
• Work with property managers and tenants to complete maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent on projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area.
• Assist with general property maintenance when plumbing work is not required.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.

Qualifications

• Nebraska Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred (or ability to obtain if required).
• Minimum of 3 years of plumbing experience in residential or commercial maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, water heaters, drain cleaning, sewer repairs, and fixture installation.
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing problems efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
