Plumber - Journeyman

MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school or GED, with four (4) years of verifiable experience in the plumbing trade plus four (4) years of experience in the general maintenance trades. Certification as a Journeyman Plumber (Brevard County license) required or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Note

Employee will be responsible for maintaining CEU’s (continuing education units) for their Journeyman or Master license if required.

Under limited supervision, performs highly skilled work at the experienced Journeyman Plumber level performing various plumbing installation, maintenance and repair tasks. Duties require the application of standard trade practices in maintaining and installing a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures. Includes responsibility for determining materials and work methods used per applicable plumbing and building codes. Job requires knowledge of other building trade skills, such as carpentry, painting and/or assisting heating and air conditioning equipment installation. Mentors Plumber I – Apprentice.
