The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Limited Term (LTE) Plumberposition. This position is based out of Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility in Milwaukee, WI

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility (MSDF) Buildings/Grounds Superintendent, this position performs duties as a skilled plumber, utilizing the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of the Plumbing Trades. This position will work in coordination with, and under the guidance of the full-time MSDF Master Plumber. This position will inspect, repair, and maintain all plumbing and related mechanical operations, as well as, heating, ventilating, air conditioning & refrigeration equipment, systems, and the distribution systems in accordance with the provisions of the plumbing codes, pertinent plans, and specifications or job orders.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule and range 04-00 with a starting pay of $53.36/hour - $65.20/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.

This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site. The work hours will vary and specifics can be discussed at time of interview.

This position is FLSA Non-Exempt.
