What You’ll Do

As a Residential Plumbing & Heating Installer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing and hydronic heating installations that exceed customer expectations.

• Install residential boilers, hydronic heating systems, radiant heating systems, and related piping systems
• Install and replace water heaters, tankless water heaters, indirect water heaters, expansion tanks, circulators, zone valves, mixing valves, and associated equipment
• Perform plumbing system replacements, re-pipes, water service installations, drain and waste piping installations, and fixture replacements
• Ensure all installations are code-compliant
• Coordinate with the Plumbing Manager regarding permit-related projects, inspections, and code requirements
• Complete installations according to company standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process and ensure a positive customer experience
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites from start to finish
• Accurately document completed work, materials used, photos, and installation details
• Assist with training and mentoring apprentices and junior installers
• Identify opportunities for additional work or system improvements and communicate findings to management
• Represent Varsity professionally and deliver a "Best of Long Island" experience on every job

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of residential plumbing installation experience preferred
• Strong experience installing residential boilers and hydronic heating systems required
• Experience with high efficiency systems preferred
• Strong understanding of piping layouts, zoning, circulators, controls, venting, combustion air, and hydronic system design principles
• Experience installing water heaters, tankless systems, indirect water heaters, and water treatment equipment
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing and mechanical codes
• Ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
