Plumbing Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will support skilled plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various construction sites. Responsibilities

• Assist lead plumbers with pipe installation, pipe threading, and system assembly using hand tools and power tools
• Support in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
• Help maintain plumbing systems by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs as directed
• Operate power tools safely in accordance with safety protocols, including welding equipment when necessary
• Contribute to remodeling projects by supporting carpentry tasks and handyman services related to plumbing systems
• Follow building code regulations and safety guidelines during all phases of construction work
• Support the maintenance of plumbing equipment and ensure all tools are properly stored and maintained

Qualifications

• Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction site operations preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and pipe threading techniques
• Experience with welding, power tools, hand tools, and schematics reading is highly desirable
• Understanding of building code compliance related to plumbing and HVAC systems
• Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing system maintenance and repair
