Dave Williams Plumbing & Electrical, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Project Engineer to join our San Diego team. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial construction while working alongside experienced project managers on high-profile projects throughout Southern California.

The Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

· Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial plumbing projects.

· Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.

· Coordinate material procurement and equipment deliveries.

· Maintain project schedules, logs, and documentation.

· Review construction drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.

· Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.

· Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and change order preparation.

· Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

· Support project closeout documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings.

· Help resolve field issues through coordination with the project team.

· Maintain organized electronic project files.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

· Equivalent construction experience will also be considered.

· 2-5 years of commercial construction experience preferred.

· Plumbing construction experience is a strong plus.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
