Residential Plumbing Service Technician

Quick Action Plumbers (QAP)

is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Residential Service Plumber to join our growing team. We are looking for a technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while providing exceptional customer service and educating homeowners on the best solutions for their plumbing needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing residential plumbing systems, as well as working on septic systems, including septic pumps, sewage ejector pumps, grinder pumps, lift stations, and related components. Experience with ServiceTitan and residential plumbing sales is highly preferred.

This position is ideal for a plumber who enjoys solving problems, building customer trust, and maximizing every service opportunity through honest recommendations and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues, including leaks, drain stoppages, water heaters, fixtures, water lines, sewer lines, and gas lines.
• Perform plumbing inspections and accurately identify repair or replacement options.
• Install and repair water heaters (tank and tankless), faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, pressure-reducing valves (PRVs), hose bibbs, and other residential plumbing fixtures.
• Perform drain cleaning and sewer diagnostics using drain machines and sewer camera inspection equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair septic system components, including septic pumps, sewage ejector pumps, grinder pumps, lift stations, float switches, and pump control systems.
• Diagnose basic septic system issues and communicate repair recommendations clearly to homeowners.
• Perform minor excavation when necessary for plumbing or septic repairs.
• Present repair and replacement options while educating customers on the benefits of each solution.
• Generate residential plumbing sales through honest recommendations and outstanding customer service.
• Complete estimates, invoices, and job documentation using ServiceTitan.
• Maintain accurate notes, photos, and customer communication within ServiceTitan.
• Follow up on estimates and communicate with customers regarding recommended repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
• Comply with all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of residential plumbing service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing residential plumbing systems.
• Experience with septic systems, septic pumps, sewage ejector pumps, grinder pumps, or lift stations is highly preferred.
• Strong drain cleaning and sewer diagnostic experience.
• Experience replacing water heaters, fixtures, water service lines, sewer lines, and plumbing components.
• Previous experience using ServiceTitan is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to present repair options and close residential plumbing sales.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain plumbing issues in a way homeowners understand.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Georgia Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (preferred but not required).
• Experience with whole-home repipes.
• Water filtration and water softener installation experience.
• Tankless water heater certification.
• Septic pump installation and troubleshooting experience.
• Sewer camera inspection experience.
• Hydro jetting experience.
• Experience with financing options and customer payment plans.
• Sales training or in-home service sales experience.
