Service Plumbing Technician

Service Plumbers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with residential and light commercial plumbing systems, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of plumbing issues, including:
• Leaks, clogs, and fixture malfunctions
• Water heater repair and replacement (tank and tankless)
• Drain cleaning and sewer line repair
• Toilet, faucet, and valve replacements
• Water pressure issues and system upgrades
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Accurately document work performed and materials used
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain findings, options, and pricing
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow all company safety protocols
• Operate and maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory responsibly
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable plumbing service experience
• Proficient in using plumbing tools, equipment, and diagnostic technology
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of local plumbing codes and compliance standards
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of conditions (crawlspaces, attics, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience or trade certification
• Experience with dispatching software and digital invoicing (e.g., ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro)
• Backflow certification or experience with water filtration systems
