Journeyman Plumber

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. We specialize in commercial tenant improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components.
• Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures; perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of building systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and handling heavy lifting tasks appropriately.
• Complete all required documentation including inspection reports, work logs, and compliance checklists.

Skills

• Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of construction plumbing systems, schematics, and blueprint reading.
• Ability to operate welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading machinery efficiently.
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems and general building mechanics.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety standards and heavy lifting techniques.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
• Familiarity with remodeling projects, field service tasks, assembly work, and handyman duties is a plus.
• Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for site transportation needs; valid HVAC or plumbing certifications are advantageous.
