Overall Purpose

Under semi-direct supervision, to perform the highest skilled plumbing and steamfitting work involved in the construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating facilities in any of the Company properties, to direct the work of a crew, and, as assigned, to perform any type of building construction, alteration and repair work, where qualified.

Job Responsibilities

:

Lays out, and performs assigned work: including materials list, required tools and instructing assigned employees as to their duties and insuring work in progress is performed safely, efficiently and satisfactorily.

Installs, removes, alters, maintains, repairs and inspects steam, water, air, sewer, drain, vent, and gas lines, sprinkler systems, guard railings, heating systems, plumbing fixtures, insulating materials and similar items.

Installs, inspects, maintains and repairs backflow preventers and maintains associated records.

Bends, cuts, forms, fits and assembles all types of piping, using acetylene torch, hack saw, pipe bender, pipe cutter, threaded and similar hand or motor driven tools, solders, wipes and sweats joints; regrinds and resets regulating valves on steam lin...
