Job Overview

Water Shield Leak Detection is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumber / Leak Detection Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in residential and commercial leak detection, main water line repairs, repipes, gas line repairs, irrigation systems, hydro jetting, and plumbing services throughout the Bay Area.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience, be able to work independently, provide excellent customer service, and produce high-quality workmanship. Leak detection experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Perform leak detection and plumbing diagnostics.
• Repair and replace main water service lines.
• Install and repair copper, PEX, PVC, ABS, and polyethylene (PE) piping.
• Sweat copper pipe and install ProPress fittings.
• Perform whole-home repipes and water line reroutes.
• Install and repair gas lines.
• Install and repair irrigation systems, valves, and backflow preventers.
• Install and replace water heaters.
• Perform hydro jetting and drain cleaning services.
• Excavate and repair underground water and sewer lines.
• Pressure test plumbing systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings and repair options.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum five (5) years of plumbing experience (Required).
• Residential plumbing experience (Required).
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).
• Hydro jetting experience (Required).
• Water heater installation and replacement experience (Required).
• Experience working with:
• Copper piping (soldering/sweating)
• ProPress systems
• PEX piping
• PVC piping
• Polyethylene (PE) water service lines
• Gas line installation and repair
