Plumbing Install Helper

Job Overview

We are looking for a temporary Plumbing Install Helper, where your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help bring essential plumbing systems to life! In this role, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems residential construction sites on a case by case basis. This is not a full time position, but if qualified, you will be asked if available when needed (typically bigger jobs) Enthusiasm, good enery and attention to detail are mandatory, as well as providing your own tools and equipment that goes with them (batteries, blades, drill bits, etc)

Duties

• Support lead plumber with the installation of pipes, fixtures, and plumbing components according to blueprints and schematics
• Assist with cutting, threading, and assembling pipes using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols
• Help interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems
• Carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks on existing plumbing systems under supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and safety standards are met
• Follow building code compliance guidelines during all phases of installation and repair work
• Assist with remodeling projects by supporting carpentry, pipe fitting, and system assembly tasks as needed

Skills

• Construction experience with a focus on plumbing or related trades such as HVAC or carpentry
• Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques including pipe installation, threading, and system schematics reading
• Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., wrenches, pipe cutters) and power tools safely and effectively
• Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations relevant to plumbing installations
