Rebuild Plumbing Trainee

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Plumbing Trainee to join our Rebuild teams in Burnsville, North Carolina. We are looking for entry-level plumbers with a heart for ministry and a passion to serve. As a Plumbing Trainee, you will have the opportunity to lead volunteer teams, complete plumbing work on home rebuilds, and assist in stewarding our homeowners through the rebuilding process.

A day in the life of a Plumbing Trainee

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of a Plumbing Trainee, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Collaborate with the Rebuild Construction Manager and Plumbing Foreman to complete plumbing work and repairs in residential construction
• Lead and work with on-site volunteer teams
• Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and plumbing equipment at each job site
• Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners throughout the rebuilding process
• Install all plumbing needs, and conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing infrastructure
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and at least three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basicknowledge of the construction industry and process
• Ability to obtain Class A restricted drivers license and valid Department of Transportation Medical Card
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with construction management and volunteers
