Residential Plumbing Apprentice

Job Overview

We are seeking motivated Residential Plumbing Apprentices to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our licensed plumbers with residential plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade while learning from experienced professionals.

Pay ranges from $18.25/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with residential service calls and plumbing installations.
• Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, safe job site.
• Cut, measure, assemble, and install piping under supervision.
• Assist with drain cleaning, water heater installations, fixture replacements, leak repairs, and other plumbing services.
• Dig trenches and perform basic demolition when necessary.
• Retrieve parts and materials from suppliers.
• Ensure heavy lifting safety protocols are followed when handling large equipment or materials on construction sites or during installations.
• Written communication skills to accurately document all work performed including detailed service descriptions, materials used, labor performed, and testing completed.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment and inventory.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency service calls as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Currently enrolled or completed a plumbing apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company truck and gas card provided)
• At least 1 year of experience with knowledge in plumbing systems including fixtures, water heaters, leak detection, drain systems, and preventative maintenance services is a plus
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras is a plus
