Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (Plumber) is responsible for performing general maintenance activities with a focus on plumbing systems and building equipment. This position supports the operations team in maintaining safe, functional, and efficient building operations while delivering excellent service to clients. This is a 3rd shift opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

------------------------

• Perform minor plumbing repairs and maintenance requiring a State of Michigan Plumbers license
• Complete general maintenance tasks including light fixture maintenance, ballast replacement, and office furniture repairs
• Install and maintain office fixtures including pictures, keyboard trays, and furniture systems
• Assist with grounds maintenance and minor landscaping repairs
• Execute special assignments including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and specialized cleaning
• Relocate office furniture, equipment, and materials as needed
• Support other operational staff in equipment repair and maintenance activities
• Maintain and organize accurate records of completed work
• Perform Maximo data entry and set up maintenance routes
• Follow safety protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials
